Physician Requirements

  • TN Medical License
  • ACLS and PALS certifications
  • 750 Hours of ER experience in the last 2 years

Facility Information

Macon Community Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital. The hospital is a member of the American Hospital Association and the Tennessee Hospital Association and is accredited by DNV Healthcare, Inc. During the past several years, Macon Community Hospital has expanded its services to meet the growing health care needs of the community. With services like Mobile M.R.I. and state of the art C.T. services, patients no longer have to drive out of town for these services.

ED Features:

  • 8,000 Annual ER Volume
  • 12 or 24-hour shifts

Community Information

Macon County offers historic sites, state and national parks and outdoor recreational sports. Lafayette, TN has beautiful covered bridges, historical sites, a winery and motorcycle museum.
